BIOGRAPHY

Born in Tokyo, Japan, 1993

Freelance Contemporary dancer based in Budapest, Hungary. Leader of the international dance collective UGOIQ. Assistant director of Tokyo Space Dance. Dance teacher of the
educational dance program ZeroPlus DanceWorks.
As a child, she loved singing, dancing, playing with her young brother.

2002 Her age of 9, she started learning modern ballet, tap dance, jazz dance, hip hop in Japan.
2005 - 2012 She studied classical ballet under the artistic direction of Michiko Aoyama.
2007 She participated in the spring course at San Francisco City Ballet School.
2010 She participated in the summer intensive course at San Diego Ballet School.
2012-2015 She spent 3 years in Germany for the diploma program at Ballett-Akademie Fürth.

2015-2016 She went to the professional dance training at the Art Factory International in Bologna, Italy.
2016 She moved to Budapest, Hungary for the year dance program ZeroPlus DanceWorks. During her stay in Budapest, she loved the city and people, in the end she decided to live and work there.
2017-current She works as a contemporary dancer and dance teacher in the ZeroPlus Dance.
2019-current She joined the Tokyo Space Dance (Direction of Tetsuro Fukuhara) and became assistant director of Tokyo Space Dance and Space Dance School.
2022 She opened an international ballet community for adults in Budapest. Ballet Open Class in Budapest

1993年 東京生まれ。11歳より青山美知子バレエスタジオにてバレエを始め、青山美知子に師事。
2007年、アメリカ、サンフランシスコシティバレエスクールにてスプリングコースに参加。
2010年、アメリカ、サンディエゴバレエスクールにてサマーインテンシブに参加。
2012年、バレエアカデミーニュルンベルク/フュルト（ドイツ）プロフェッショナルディプロマコースへ入学、2015年に卒業。のち、イタリアへ移り、Art Factory International in Bologna によるプロフェッショナルトレーニングプログラムへ参加。Brigel GjokaによるWilliam Forsytheテクニック、Eduardo TorrojaにUltima Vezのレパートリーを学ぶ。また、盲目の方が対象のダンス公演イベント、車椅子を使い生活をしている方々とのダンストレーニング、パフォーマンスへ参加する。この頃、ダンスとテクノロジーのコラボレーションに出会ったことがきっかけで、翌年フィンランド、オウル大学でのアーティストレジデンスOulu Dance Hackに参加。ダンスとテクノロジーについて学び始める。
2016年秋～2017年夏、ZeroPlusダンスプログラム（ハンガリー、ブダペスト）でコンテンポラリーダンス、バレエに加え、ボディーアウェアネスダンス、コンタクトインプロヴィゼーション等、身体の内側から動きを考えるソマティックダンスクラスに参加し、自身の踊りを見つめ直す機会に出会う。また、ヨーロッパ各地で行われるダンスワークショップやセミナー（Feldenkraisメソッド、Alexanderテクニック、解剖学）を積極的に受講し、2017年夏より、コンテンポラリーとバレエの指導を開始。（ZeroPlus Dance Education, Healing Home Budapest）2022年現在、フリーランスダンサー、振付家としての活動と共に行う。

2016年から現在に至り、フリーランサーとして様々なアーティスト、ダンサーとのコラボレーションプロジェクト、公演を実施。ダンスパートナーViki Matisz (HU)とOlga Uzikaeva (RU) と共にダンスワークショップも定期的に開催中。
2017年、Heléna Hrotkóによる指導のもと、「書道」と「舞踏」の融合に挑戦。また、ダンスショートフィルム「HARU」がイタリア、ギリシャ、ハンガリーのダンスフィルムフェスティバルにて上映される。

2018年4月、芸術監督Gyula Bergerのもと作成されたソロ作品”Augmented Spaces"がレジデンスプログラムLife-Long Burningに選考され、8日間に渡りベルギーブリュッセルにて作品の創作、仕上げに取り組む。同年6月に初の単独公演をブダペストにて。翌年2月にはルーマニア、スフントゥ・ゲオルゲにて公演を行った。

近年、ダンスの動画制作についても興味があった彼女は、2018年の日本帰国中に高校生の頃の同級生と共にショートダンスフィルム「郷 SATO」を作成。翌年、オーストラリアシドニーに拠点を持つDance Cinema Organizationからインタビューを受ける。2019年5月、Dance Cinema ウェブサイト上にて「郷 SATO」が特集された。

2018年秋、ハンガリー国立文化財団25周年記念式典にてハンガリー人の音楽家Misstiq Duoとのコラボレーション。

2019年2月、福岡ダンスフリンジフェスティバルvol.12にて”Augmented Space"の短編を発表。母国での自作品の発表は彼女にとってこれが初めてとなる。
2019年12月、韓国ソウル Seoul International Choreography Festivalにて、同作品の発表。

2019年、ロシア人のダンスアーティストOlga Uzikaevaとのダンスユニット「Horokodile Dance&More」としての活動がスタート。ワークショップやアーティストレジデンス、公演をこれまで、ハンガリー（ブダペスト）、セルビア（ベルグレード）、オランダ（ヘルモント）にて行う。

2019年夏、ディレクター福原哲郎が率いる東京スペースダンスのアシスタントディレクターに就任。

2019年10月、彼女にとって初のダンスとテクノロジー作品、ドローンと踊る「Above」をダンサー・振付家のNina Kov指導のもと欧州技術革新研究所(EIT)のINNOVEIT2019にて発表。

現在はコンテンポラリーダンサーとして活動するほか、ダンス講師としてBallet Open Class in BudapestやZeroPlus DanceWorksで指導。また、東京スペースダンス、スペースダンススクールのアシスタントディレクターを務めている。
